I CAN'T BREATHE, 2017
A reference to the concept of converting memories into digital data. The installation is a deconstructed recreation of the artist's childhood trauma regarding a water tubing accident. Participants sit inside of a water tube placed in a pool filled with water from the lake in which the accident occurred. There are 6 scenes recreated with virtual reality from the trauma. The scene shown in the preview video is a scene depicting the drowning sensation -- however, the memory upload process resulted in the disruptive and artificial aesthetic.
